(E-)Bike & Hike – Cycling with summit victory

In the Wildkogel Arena there are many tours for e-mountain bikers, where they can easily master even crisp climbs with their pedelecs. If you want to crown your bike tour with the Wildkogel summit or the Frühmesser summit, you can get high with (E)-Bike & Hike. A new bike loop trail leads from Neukirchen via the Gensbichl valley station to the top station of the Wildkogelbahn. This will enable continuous biking pleasure with a maximum gradient of 13 percent from Neukirchen and Bramberg to the Wildkogel and back again. E-bikers recharge their batteries at the mountain station of the Wildkogelbahn in the panoramic mountain restaurant – and fill their own energy stores with Pinzgau delicacies. Mountain and e-bikes can be rented from various providers on site. Top event: The Wildkogel Hillclimb (01.08.20) from Bramberg up to the panoramic mountain restaurant Wildkogel. The “emerald bikers” have 18 kilometers and 1,400 meters of altitude in them when they pedal over the Sonnberg, the Mühlbachtal and the Geisl-Hochalm up to the Wildkogel. If you want to save yourself strenuous meters of altitude, you can quickly get uphill with the Wildkogelbahn or the Smaragdbahn.

The mountain rides are included for the bikers in the National Park Sommercard Mobil, also the bike rides free of charge. Finally, in the high-altitude hiking area Wildkogel beautiful biking routes attract and the mountain inns invite you to a cozy stop. High feelings are also guaranteed when mountain biking in the Tauern valleys. An impressive Bike & Hike tour leads to the emerald-rich Habachtal. At the end of the valley, walk to the Thüringer Hütte. Hikers with strong calves march even further up the “ladies’ 3,000-meter peak” – the Larmkogel (3,017 m). Another rewarding Bike & Hike tour runs from the end of the valley in the Obersulzbachtal to the Kürsingerhütte and on to the Keeskogel (3,291 m)

On (e-)bike tour with the guide

WildkogelActive mountain bikers get into gear with professional bike guides. A full-day mountain bike alpine tour to the Pass Thurn, a Tauern tour to the Hollersbach Valley, to the Krimml Waterfalls and the King’s Tour to the Baumgartenalm are just some of the variations. Fully motivated are also e-bikers, when it goes with the ranger through the unique valleys or “From cultivated land into the wilderness”, to the alpine pastures in the untouched Untersulzbachtal. Towards the sun is the motto for bike tours in the three sunny side valleys – the Mühlbach, Dürnbach and Trattenbach valleys. In total, there are 130 routes in the Tauernbike region all the way to the South Tyrolean Ahrntal.
