Skidding fun on the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world

The Wildkogel Arena is located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park vacation region and the Kitzbühel Alps. From the top station of the Smaragdbahn at 2,100 meters, the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world winds down into the valley to Bramberg.
Three years ago, the Wildkogel-Arena Neukirchen & Bramberg made it into the Guinness Book of Records: with the world’s longest toboggan chain, which was formed on the world’s longest floodlit toboggan run. The toboggan run is 14 kilometers long and is illuminated daily until 10 p.m., thus offering full downhill fun even in the evening. “High start” you can with the Wildkogelbahn and the Smaragdbahn daily until 16.15 clock. The second is on Tuesdays and Fridays for all toboggan fans even until 18.30 clock in motion. Once you reach the mountain, you have 1,300 meters of elevation gain and countless racy curves ahead of you. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the finish line, not counting stops and refreshments in mountain huts. Big and small tobogganists lay into the curves on the perfectly prepared and wide track. At regular tobogganing workshops, there are useful tips for the right curve technique.

The Guinness Book of Records is not the only place to know about the world’s longest illuminated toboggan run. In 2017, the Skiarea Winter Awards gave the Wildkogel Arena Neukirchen & Bramberg the international toboggan run seal of approval, which was awarded for the first time at the time. The award for the best event was also won with the world record of the longest toboggan chain of over 500 tobogganers (Guinness World Records™) at the Skiarea Winter Awards. The toboggan run from Wildkogel is not the only one in the Wildkogel Arena: at Gasthof Stockenbaum, at Gasthof Neuhaushof as well as the Kühnreit to boggan run there are three other family toboggan runs. On the Kühnreit toboggan run there is tobogganing every day also until 9 p.m. under floodlight and every Wednesday there is the popular guest to bogganing.
